A look back at 2013…..
Whilst at Interbee 2013 last week I did a live interview at the Atomos and Teradek booth with Dan Chung for his News shooter site.
Teradek have just posted it to their vimeo channel so you can watch it again if you missed it.
I talk about my work, show my showreel and clips from my Safecast (www.safecast.org) documentary and my “Only Native Japanese Imam in Tokyo” piece for VICE.
When I was back in the UK in September one of the things that I really wanted to do was make a short film about the amazing illustrator and lovely man that is my father, John Storey.
It’s taken me a while to get it finished due to other work commitments but I’m finally ready to share it with you.
I hope that it conveys even a small part of the love and respect I have for him.
I feel truly lucky to have him as a father, he has been an inspiration both artistically and as a man my whole life and I feel so very happy that I was able to make this film.
Nov 13th-15th I will be at Interbee – the International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition with Dan Chung and the team from www.newsshooter.com
Over at The New Yorker there is a new article about 281_Anti nuke by the lovely Roland Kelts which quotes me and mentions my documentary.
Here is Part 3 (the final part) of the wonderful Vaughn Montgomery live in Kyoto.
Vaughn Montgomery LIVE in Kyoto part 1 – “Pastures Of Plenty”
The lovely people at SNAPPP magazine in Taiwan have featured my work in issue 25 of their rather wonderful photography magazine.
My official video for the CMHxHTD (Cross My Heart Hope To Die) track “Roller Coasting”!
So, thanks to the ‘not such a big surprise really’ revelations of global internet monitoring by the NSA and conversations with some friends who like me should also have known better and done this a LONG time ago, I have decided to start encrypting all my personal emails using PGP encryption.
281 Anti Nuke Retrospective – Exhibition (June 1-30th) and opening party (June 6th)
281_Anti nuke – Documentary trailer – “Post Fukushima, a young father and artist assumes a mask and the name ‘281_Anti nuke’ and takes to the streets of Tokyo angering right wing users of the Internet.”
Recently did a very interesting photo/video shoot with Fujimoto Kenji, the ex-sushi chef to North Korean leaders Kim Jong Ill and Kim Jong Un.
My second video for the rather lovely and talented Repeat Pattern, this time for the track “Fuck But Beautiful” from the self titled album out now on Cascade records.
I was recently interviewed by the very lovely Kris Kosaka for this piece in the Japan Times community section.
Thanks for featuring me and my work!
A music video I did for Repeat Pattern’s “Mud Fonk” track on the upcoming ‘Traces’ EP over on lo-vibes.bandcamp.com
