So, that’ll be Autumn then….
After a blistering Tokyo summer I’m almost relieved the temperature has dropped enough that I don’t wake up in a pool of my own excretions. Almost.

Following on from last years Flower of the dead post some more pictures (this time in nerdtastic macro saturated glory!) of the flower that grows along the banks of the river that one must cross after death or the flower that grows in hell, and in Tokyo (draw your own conclusions ;-)

I will for the rest of my days associate this really unique and amazing flower with Japan and Autumn (not my two favorite things).

Oh, and one more – Lycoris albiflora, the white flower of the dead’s sister
