The rarely seen and almost never photographed mating ritual of the “bleached coiffure construction worker” and the “covered face fascist”.

The ritual begins with the construction worker, seen here in his usual green coloured plumage, feigning sleep in the middle of a busy pedestrian street, the perfect tactic to attract the attentions of the increasingly prevalent “covered face” species of the Tokyo blue fascist.(A bizarre mutation of the blue fascist made possible by the acquiescence of the unusually docile native animals in this particular area) Read more…

People started twittering about it, then someone Dugg it and it made it to the front page and then all hell broke loose.
It has been blogged on at least 30 blogs that I know about and probably many more that I don’t.

Let the poets cry themselves to sleep - CNNgo selection

After a slightly rocky road and a story best left untold, a gallery of photos from my “let the poets cry themselves to sleep” series has been published on CNNgo, the travel branch of the CNN website.
The gallery which contains previously unseen pictures from the series can be seen on the CNNgo site HERE.

Professor David Nutt of the University of Bristol is one of my new heroes.
Controversially (exactly to who I don’t quite understand) together with a team of highly respected experts he drew up a new classification system for drugs based on “harm”, the rankings placed Alcohol far above Ecstacy, causing outrage in middle  England.
That and a few other unpopular statements (including my personal favorite involving horse riding) got Professor Nutt sacked from his job as the UK governments top drugs advisor in October of this year.

Of course it did.
