Japan Earthquake 11/3/11

Just a very quick update.

Me and everyone I know is fine.

I was up on the 19th Floor during the quake which was a little scary ;-) but basically here in Tokyo, all is pretty much well.

Our thoughts go out to those in the north-east of Japan who are suffering far more.

The nuclear reactor problem in Fukushima is more than a little scary, but basically it is disturbingly normal here.
The frequent aftershocks are pretty scary too, even as I write this the building shakes!!

Thanks for all your emails.

  • Glad to hear you and your friends are fine. The best way to get in touch of what’s happening there by standing in Spain was twitter and personal blogs. Mass media just go with the same news over and over again.

Anyway, I heard what I wanted to, glad you are ok.

Ganbatte! All my support from Spain.

Hey dude, good to hear that you’re safe and well! It’s quite a mess that’s hit Japan, so hope that you and your family get through this alright!

    With thoughts from Denmark,

To re-iterate tho, Tokyo is fine – difficult to buy a sandwhich but thats about it.
